To update everyone on this, the Lintian work is prepared (and hopefully
can be uploaded soon, since there are some other important bug fixes), but
currently debian-policy can't build in a clean chroot because
texlive-base-bin is temporarily broken by an ongoing transition. As soon
as I can build in a clean chroot, I will upload 3.8.1.0 with whatever has
been merged at that point. Hopefully it won't be more than a day.
