No, it is confusing because user would have to remember if an
application is in "main", "contrib" or "non-free". If a user is not the
one who installed the software, he/she may not know that at all. And of
course, there is a bunch of third party non-free software packages that
we cannot control.

That is a no, unless you can provide a very accurate description, so
that people would not think that anything can go there.
