Hi, I second this very old proposal to add virtual package httpd-cgi. Currently the most of CGI capable web servers provides the virtual package and few other packages depends on it. It's high time to include httpd-cgi in the Policy and close the bug. Detailed statistics: + 14 web servers provide the httpd-cgi: apache apache2-mpm-perchild apache2-mpm-prefork apache2-mpm-worker apache-perl apache-ssl caudium cherokee mathopd roxen3 roxen4 thttpd thy yaws + 3 web servers do not support CGI and won't provide httpd-cgi: dhttpd fnord micro-httpd + and finally we've 5 packages providg httpd, but not httpd-cgi; probably all of them support CGI and all of them have bugs reported: aolserver4 (#304305) boa (#304306) bozohttpd (#304307) mzscheme (#304310) Also there're 7 packages which Depends/Suggests/Recommends httpd-cgi, and not httpd: apt-cacher asterisk-web-vmail dokuwiki ecartis-cgi hylafax-doc php3-cgi php-radius Best Regards, robert
