Bug#278536: The example does fulfil its purpose
Hi,
The example demonstrates what it was trying to -- namely, how a
test for DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS would look like. It is not meant to be a
fully functional rules file.
And yes, it is not sensible to clutter policy with
INSTALL-{JAVA-JAR,PERL-SCRIPT,RUBY-SCRIPT,PYTHON-SCRIPT,RUBY_SCRIPT,APACHE_MODULE}
or whatever else people may actually use.
I repeat: this is not a bug, and it does not need to go into
policy.
