`which' is wrong, because we want to know how the shell which is
actually executing the maintainer script will execute the command.  If
`which' and `type' disagree then `type' is correct.

See my earlier statement about `which'.

If posh (I don't know what posh is) doesn't support `type command'
then it is quite broken.
