package: libgtk2.0-dev
version: 2.2.4-1

I didn't know where to submit this suggestion, so I picked a -dev
package at random.
I was just thinking it would be helpful if a seperation was made
between packages that are needed to do development with some other
program or library - i.e. mainly all the -dev packages - and packages
that are development tools in their own right, such as anjuta for
example.
Not that important, but the number of packages in each section is
growing larger all the time, and as long as clear divisions are made so
that people can usually find the right section, it might help to break
down some of the categories into smaller groupings.

Indeed.

% apt-cache show libgtk2.0-dev | grep ^Section
Section: libdevel

The archive maintenance software will tell the maintainer if the section
field within the package doesn't match this setting from the override file.
I'm closing the bug report.
