Bug#212434: debian-policy: [PROPOSAL] Upgrade FHS from 2.1 to 2.2
Package: debian-policy
Version: N/A; reported 2003-09-23
Severity: normal
The current Debian Policy uses the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS),
version 2.1 (from 2000). The version 2.2 is out since May 2001 and I
believe Woody (and Sarge/Sid) is already complient.
Debian-Policy:

FHS 1.2:

FHS 1.2 announcement with changes mentioned:

(Note, there is already a pre-release of FHS 2.3 at
http://www.samba.org/~cyeoh/)
Besides this patch, the shipped FHS (html, pdf,*) has also to be updated.
