I'd like to see a standard message format in section 9.4 ("Console
messages from init.d scripts"). It's probably appropriate to let init
scripts provide more detail if it's useful in particular cases, but
something like:
Checking status of printer spooler: running.
Checking status of OpenBSD Secure Shell server: stopped.
... as the first line of the output would be kind of nice.
