May I ask if you took a look first at the list of virtual package names
available in the debian-polciy package as file
/usr/share/doc/debian-policy/virtual-package-names-list.txt.gz? If not,
I would recommend doing so, before considering to fill a bugreport
asking for a virtual package name. If yes, may I ask if you simply
overlooked the following entry?
[...]
|ident-server Anything providing an identd daemon
[...]
There's already a virtual package name available that you can use for
your purposes. So may i suggest that you close the bugreport?
