I'm annoyed at things like ~/.libquicktime_codecs which got pulled in with a
recent xawtv upgrade...

% ls -l .libquicktime_codecs
-rw-r--r-- 1 joy joy 12854 2003-01-05 19:14 .libquicktime_codecs
% head -4 .libquicktime_codecs
# This is the codec database file for libquicktime
# It is automatically generated and should not be edited.
# If you canged it, and your libquicktime program doesn't work
# anymore, delete it, and you will get a new one

Useless.
