This bug has been mitigated, although not fixed. I do allow simple
command-line switcher to allow for registering slews of documentation
orders of magnitude faster. That should hold us until the redesign is
ready (v2).

I'm happy to tweeze out the documentation for the existing "docreg" or
document registration file, if you guys want me to, and submit it as a
standalone document for inclusion in policy.

I am planning also to extend the document registration. Most critical
are i18n issues, both in the presentation of the registered document
descriptions and the documents themselves. Previous attempts to
address these issues suffered from rampant "overdesignitus" which I am
trying to remedy.

If you guys have any other suggestions for critical issues, feel free
to respond to me or debian-doc list with comments or file bugs on
doc-base!
