Bug#58340: Proposal: add 'distro' control field
Hi,
This will *NOT* wprk. Most distributions based on Debian are
unlikely to repackage the debs -- they just mirror and
copy. Enforcing this is also difficult. And then there are personally
compiled packages ....
Packages are not generated with a view to a distribution.
Personally, I think the users can decide where they want
packges to come from, by editing sources.list for apt.
Dependency problems in non-debian distributions are not really
our problem -- and something like debian-cd is is closer to the
solution (or even pkg order run on the Packages files).

A fool must now and then be right by chance.
