You mean insist that http://localhost/usr/doc/ be the same as
/usr/doc (just like http://localhost/doc/ is required to be right
now)?
I'd agree with you that /doc is really too generic to have
been hijacked by Debian.
We should pay some attention to privacy issues; and not
default to http://localhost/usr/doc/ be wide open (deny from all;
allow from localhost whould be the way to go in access.conf; this
shall allow people who wish to to export their packages easily)
