Well, won't reputable CD dealers tell you what version they actually have?
And won't smart CD dealers burn only enough to fufill that week's expected
demand to save money?

I don't have much feeling on the issue one way or the other, but it seems
that if that is your only objection to the current numbering scheme, it
might not be worth the hassle. :) I would be more impressed if you can send
the URL of a CD dealer that doesn't advertise which version of debian you
would get were you to buy it today.

<Shrug> I don't feel too strongly about it either way.
