Well, say we provide a /usr/share/doc -> /usr/doc symlink - couldn't those
people who want to do this simply mv /usr/doc to /usr/share and put the
symlink in as /usr/doc ? Presto chango they get what they want, we get
what we want :>
As an aside, has anyone thought about doing that? If we have the symlink
like that then we can gradually move the packages over, old systems will
have the actual files under /usr/doc new systems will have the files under
/usr/share/doc and all programs will be migrated to use /usr/share/doc.
We don't actually -have- to exchange them - do we?
