I would rather do it in perl, for various reasons (one reason that it is
easier in perl to use regex). Remember that all packaging scripts are in
perl, _and_ this script should be in dpkg-dev, as all rules files should use
this instead any dpkg option. I am not talking about an optional add on script
(dpkg-cross does this fine), but about a new way to understand multiple
architecture support in our building scripts.
