Indeed it doesn't.
smail does, though; I know that because one former smail user upgraded to
exim, got everything working, and then purged smail which he thought he
would never need again :(
(At least, I think that's the reason for his bug report; he hasn't responded
to my queries about it. I'll chase it up and close it if I was right about
the cause. Thanks for reminding me :)
