Actually, I think it's necessary. One thing a bind reload does is make  
bind examine the list of available interfaces again; that's why I do a  
reload on both connect and disconnect.

I haven't noticed _any_ adverse effects after I finally did it that way.  
(Note reload != restart. That _would_ be bad.)
