Re: APT in slink?

please make apt the default install method in apt.
this helps a lot. btw: a multi-cdrom-install method is required.
hamm did not fit on one cdrom, slink will not, too.

and if kde is removed from debian, it would be better if they could provide an
extra cd (installable via apt) rather than createing a new distribution (like
they did with redhat : mandrake).

other projects could create their own debian-addon, too. but some
way to install must be possible.

think of the old times, when linux or windows or any other software was
installed from a pile of disks : mechanism were required to say "please insert
disk 3", check for the disk etc. now we need the same stuff with cdroms.

disks were build that way : the first disk had a setup file with the
information "what is on which disk". i would prefer to have the disks rather
independent, for example to allow seperate products.
