ldconfig or not

I have just installed mesag2 2.6-3 and xlock stopped working. ldd shows

        libSM.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libSM.so.6 (0x4000f000)
        libICE.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libICE.so.6 (0x40018000)
        libXpm.so.4 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4 (0x4002d000)
        libMesaGL.so.2 => not found
        libMesaGLU.so.2 => not found
        libcrypt.so.1 => /lib/libcrypt.so.1 (0x4003b000)
        libX11.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x4006a000)
        libXext.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6 (0x4010d000)
        libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x40119000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40132000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)

I tried ldconfig and then it worked.  Since mesag2 doesn't do ldconfig I
thought that the symlinks in mesag2 are broken, but unpacking it shows that
they're not.  This seems to indicate that we must run ldconfig in postinst even
if there're symlinks in the package.

I can reliably reproduce this by doing:

1) purge mesag2
2) ldconfig
3) install mesag2
