Having read all the posts pointing out that debian packages don't need to
follow LSB, I would like to suggest that we add the status option for init.d
scripts to policy. I would very useful to find out if a daemon is running
using a standard method, rather than having to do ps auxw | grep food and
hoping that fact that a process is running means that the daemon is still
working. Whether debian follows the LSB standard is a matter for discussion
after it has been decided to include the status method.
