.. ok ok I installed it under /usr. gnomecc now has the entry for Pilot Link, but it complains because of the missing daemon. gpilotd, however, is up and running. Also, a funny thing happens when su -, then trigger gpilotd: --> su - Password: <root@maya> [~] --> gpilotd Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: <root@maya> [~] --> Why a daemon should open the display? I tried it under also under the root console, and no window appeared. Sergio
