I can confirm that. Subgroup aren't supported for gitlab pages, it's not
just on salsa.

I think we should go for the simple option, it looks more robust to me.
But I'm ok with experimenting the cloning solution.

Another thing we need to check is see if sphinx is supported: back
during the sprint, IIRC, formorer said that it'd be totally acceptable
to have sphinx running on the CI workers and it would be something to
consider. Also, I think people started contributing worker ?

If sphinx isn't supported, we'll just have to run sphinx locally and
publish the html directly on the pages project.
