Are there plans to backport the changes from Bug#855894?

Hi,

while https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=855894 (Warnings
with Perl 5.24 and newer when "syswrite" and "utf8" are used together)
is fixed in unstable and testing, the bug is still present in Stretch.

I missed stating this in the bug report, but this is a regression from
Jessie. Configurations that worked fine in Jessie, and supposedly will
work fine again in Buster, cause warnings in Stretch.

Is there a chance to get the fixes backported?
