Wearing the pptp-linux maintainer's hat:
The pptp-linux package has a full Perl dependency (expanded from the
${perl:Depends} substvar) but it actually just ships a small Perl script
pptpsetup[1] that has a very small dependency list. So small it's
already satisfied by perl-base.
Now I got a request to change the install dependencies accordingly,
i.e. replace "${perl:Depends}" with "perl-base".
Besides some extra handwork (like probably silencing lintian), is there
any reason to not do this?
