Au contraire, this approach, while understandable, causes a lot of
grieve downstream and at sites that use Debian as the base of their
own development work, BTDT. So as long as they serve a sensible
purpose and there's no drop-in replacement, they should be kept.

In other words: If you're willing to sponsor the upload, I'll take
care of them.
