libalien-wxwidgets-perl has a rather tight dependency on the
libwxgtk3.0 version:
libwxgtk3.0-dev (>= 3.0.0-4),
libwxgtk3.0-dev (<< 3.0.1~)
I am not exactly sure why this is so, but at least it is set during
build time, so a NMU takes care of it and no source upload is
necessary.
My guess is that since the package provides information about the
specific conditions under which the Wx library was built, it needs to
be rebuilt whenever the Wx library is changed.
Maybe others in the group can provide more input, for example whether
depending on << 3.1 (i.e. ignore patchlevel changes) would be
sufficient.
