Absolutely.

And I also see Nicholas' point, because not long ago I looked at an
(complicated for me) RC bug, and I ended up building a local piuparts
package from the develop branch in git. - It just makes a better
feeling to say "I could reproduce the problem and I can confirm the
fix" than "Hm, I guess my patch fixes it but I'm not sure."

So for me it would be helpful to have development releases of
piuparts in experimental, if they are used for reporting RC bugs.

Maybe I would even offer to do such "maintainer-approved NMUs" if you
or Andreas told me "please upload commit 12345 from the develop
branch to experimental as version 0.(n+1)~expY" every now and then,
if that helped :)
