This is good news! I'd be very happy to see sd back in Debian!
However, last time I heard about sd, Christine basically said that sd
needed a new *upstream* maintainer -- so if no such upstream
maintainer appeared since then, I'm not sure it would be a good idea
to re-introduce the package in Debian without taking over its
maintenance upstream too.
But perhaps you're willing to try and play the upstream maintainer
role too for a while?
