I've just uploaded this to squeeze-backports. The only caveat is that it exposes Net::CIDR's confusion about mixed environments [0], but that only causes trouble when you aren't sure whether the gatherer will be connecting via IPv6 or IPv4. So i think it's OK for the more common cases (where the gatherer is known to be either IPv6 or IPv4. Hopefully the package will flow into squeeze-backports soon.
