16 failed doesn't look good; from my experience that is caused by
timeouts on Alioth (I'm using mr to update several svn and git repos
on ALioth, and I've stopped using "-jN" for that reason", which
decreases the amount of failed updates in my experience. I'm also
using the ControlMaster/Path in ssh).
