Hey all,

I'm making a .deb out of a client's runs-on-centos code, and I'd like to
get all the deps in Debian to reduce the pain of maintaining it after
the contract is over.

The only dep that's not debianized is Filter::Crypto::Decrypt

#debian-perl recommended that I join the pkg-perl alioth group, and
googling for pkg-perl pointed me to a page recommending joining this ml. I love mailing lists, so I figure I might as well request membership ;)

You've come to the right place. :)

So I assume you've joined the alioth group which allows you access to the SVN repo.

This page is hopefully useful: http://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/

It might be good to read through the SVN workflow and how you can upload your ssh key to avoid a lot of password requests. PET (Package Entropy Tracker) http://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/pet.cgi is a page that gives a good overview of the state of the packages in the repo. The wiki has some good stuff too.

Welcome!
