Sorry for the late answer on this. In meanwile I did some further
research, it can be found that one Problem is if a spellchecker
(for example if aspell-en ist installed). I'm contact with the
upstream author of LaTeX::Table, and he reported to me that these will
be fixed in the development release, which will be fixed then in the
1.0(.0) version.

So many thanks for you comments on that, and double checking the
FTBFS.
