Bug#454723: false positive: perl-package-should-be-section-perl dh-make-perl
Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.38
Severity: normal
Hi,
Lintian reports the following on dh-make-perl:
W: dh-make-perl: perl-package-should-be-section-perl dh-make-perl
N:
N: This package has a name suggest that it is Perl-based, so it should be
N: in section "perl".
N:
dh-make-perl is similar to dh-make, but creates packages from Perl
modules. Currently it uses "Section: devel".
I am unsure if
a) an override is in order; or
b) lintian should "whitelist" dh-make-perl for this check; or
c) lintian should check only for packages named lib*-perl
Please close the bug it you suggest an override.
Thanks,
dam
