Re: dh-make-perl can't find Makefile.PL though it exists

Here's a bigger chunk of the error message:

CPAN: File::Temp loaded ok (v0.18)
Found: XML-XPathEngine 0.08 (libxml-xpathengine-perl arch=all)
Can't open Makefile: No such file or directory.
Can't open Makefile: No such file or directory.

Please check if your module depends on Module::Install
for its build process - Automatically finding its
dependencies is unsupported, please specify them manually
using the 'depends' option.

Makefile.PL did not return a true value at /usr/share/perl5/Module/
Depends/Intrusive.pm line 76.

But the CPAN untarring produced: XML-XPathEngine-0.08/Makefile.PL.
And doing an 'ls' on the above created dir reveals the Makefile.PL
and that Makefile.PL uses MakeMaker, not Module::Install.

Is this a bug?

Don't know, but your mail doesn't make sense: The error says
"Makefile.PL did not return a true value", not that it doesn't
exist...
