Adopting courier-filter-perl for the Perl group?

Hi Debian Perl group fellows,

Alioth bug #300747[1] requests the packaging of libcourier-filter-perl AKA
Courier::Filter (which coincidentally is written by me). The package is
obviously written in Perl, but conceptually it is not a library but a mail
filter module framework, and technically it is a plugin for the courier-mta
package.

courier-filter-perl was previously sponsored for me by Daniel Ruoso, but at
the time I released 0.17 I could not get it uploaded (probably) due to time
constraints on Daniel's side.

--> So I wonder whether it would be appropriate to adopt the package for
--> the Perl group despite it not being a Perl library? (The package is on
--> CPAN, though.)

I'm currently preparing a 0.18 release, so I'm examining my options of
getting it into Debian. If there is no (rough) consensus that this package
is on-topic for the Perl group, I could still ask the maintainer of the
courier package, or I could seek a sponsor again.
