Introduction and account request

Hi all!

So, I didn't plan to get deeply involved in Debian packaging, but here
we go! :-) I've been hanging around on IRC, and been encouraged to
introduce myself and get an account.

I'm an astrophysicist of education, currently working at Opera. We have
a few sites running on Debian and mod_perl. Before starting here, I
played around with Perl for a few years, starting writing TABOO on
AxKit, and Debian was the first OS I installed on my own, back in 2001.
Before that, it was mostly Tru64. I currently use Debian on the servers
and Ubuntu on desktops.

I have a few packages on CPAN: http://search.cpan.org/~kjetilk/
Mostly rather obscure stuff. Or at least obscure now... :-)

Debian's packaging is of course vastly superior to any alternatives, and
I have been playing with packaging my own stuff. Moreover, there are
quite a few packages we need at work (for http://my.opera.com/ ), and
rather than backporting stuff later, we might as well spend a little
time packaging them right now. So, the first I'll do if you grant me
access to the SVN is uploading libimager-perl there.

On alioth, I got the username kjetil-guest, otherwise you will know me
by my work email kjetilk@opera.com or my personal email
kjetil@kjernsmo.net (down right now, though, the box died :-( Will fix
tonight). The latter has a PGP key 6a6a0bbc that is well placed in the
WOT and could be trustable by some of you.

I'm so busy these days that you cannot expect a big contribution from my
hand, and no commitment, but perhaps I can check a few things into SVN
and at least do something useful.

Cheers,

Kjetil
