We seem to be under a flood of "New upstream release" bug reports

carefully before migrating to a new version. Any version bump can
have compatibility problems even when it's not intended. It would
be orders of magnitude harder to fix a problem in a Perl app when
a hundred different Perl modules had just been uploaded merely to
satisfy a version-chasing whim.

Florian: what are you playing at? This looks like work for work's
sake to me.
