perl 5.8.0 dependancy issue? (iconv)

Hi,
  I had some problems earlier doing and 'apt-get upgrade'
on my i386/unstable box.
  perl-5.8.0-13 installed and configured fine but debconf
failed to configure because of an error in one of its'
perl install scripts.
  Unfortunatley I fixed the problem too quickly (by luck)
and don't have the error messages for you.  I believe
installing 'libtext-iconv-perl' was what fixed it.
  Could there be a missing dependancy there?

Just thought I'd drop youse a note.  I'm not at all clued
in about perl so if I'm talking crap just ignore this.
