Did anyone ever implement this, or some similar low-effort way to
package CPAN modules that otherwise "just work"?  Neither the
packaging-manual nor the developers-reference really say anything
about perl module packaging (they don't even mention the standard for
*naming* them, which I thought was agreed on a long time ago?)

Lacking that, can anyone recommend a package which is notably
straightforward to copy from?  (Or of course a pointer to the
documentation that I haven't found...)
