Is there a formal policy for Python? I searched it and found nothing. As far
as I know, the only programming languages in Debian which have a formal
subpolicy are Perl <http://pandora.debian.org/~hertzog/> and Java
<http://www.debian.org/~bortz/Java/policy.html>, for which it is still a
proposal.

If Python packages have a consistent naming scheme, fine, but I would be glad
to learn more, specially about the rationale.
