Thanks to the znc I got to read some of the conversations you had with other GSoC admins. Here are some of my views
- larjona point of messaging last year's mentors is great to begin with for the applications this year
- Drafting a mail and sending it out to -project, -outreach and regional user groups will help gathering both mentor and student participation
- Either GSoC flyers[1] or custom build Debian-specific flyers can be made to broadcast in colleges and universities
I participated with Debian during last year's GSoC[2] as a student and would like to help out this year in ways possible
