I do not understand why. The subject matter is of legitimate concern.
I have little intention of conducting a private exchange on the issue
so am sending to the bug. At the same time, I am reluctant to quote
what appears to be a private mail to me, so will merely outline the
important portion in my own words.

Rene Engelhard's opinion is that this is not an important bug and the
severity could be reduced to as low as wishlist. The essence of the
report's content was not addressed.

How is it intended a user is made aware of the capabilities of an IPP
printer and take advantage of them without cups-browsed on hand?
