Bug#890638: libreoffice-calc: Freezes while saving
Package: libreoffice-calc
Version: 1:5.2.7-1+deb9u2
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
When saving a document after being edited the Calc freezes almost always. It
happens either when it autosaves the document or it is done manually.
The Calc uses 100% of the CPU core while saving and continiously increases its
memory usage. That has been tested on different PCs with XFCE, Gnome and Mate
as DE.
The document is OK since it works always well on the same Calc version in
Debian Jessie that is from backports.
I think it is connected to GTK since after removing libreoffice-gtk
libreoffice-gtk2 libreoffice-gtk3 it saves OK.
The Calc 5.4.5 from libreoffice.com saves always well, but after saving it
becomes very slow while scrolling. After reopening the saved document the
scrolling is fast. In the Calc 5.2.7 without the gtk packages the scrolling is
fast either before saving the document or after.
Kind Regards,
John Kirk
