I saw this too when testing 5.4 betas but never figured out why.

Tried in a VM this morning and saw it again (as you describe) so I quickly checked.

It seems that LO picks up images_helpimg.zip instead of images_galaxy.zip (as it should
if there's no desktop env/other icons are installed and or set). Does it work if you
manually set it to Galaxy in the Options (Options -> View I think)?

Now the question is why this breaks only in 5.4., 5.2.7 also contains images_helpimg.uip
of course and the structure of the images_* AFAICR didn't change...
(at least I thought so, don't find it in 5.2.7...).
