Haven't seen that. But if you want murrine (no idea what that is and how you set it,
it definitely doesn't exist in Debian...) you of course want to install it.

Had that always. Harmless.

Hmm.
There were linux and glibc updates indeed. No idea whether they broke it, can you
try reverting them one-by-one and whether it fixes it?
Guess I need to setup a oldstable VM and try...
