That sounds a bit like http://bugs.debian.org/832495 (which is fixed, but
admittedly not in sid yet, am waiting for the official 5.2.1 release to upload
that one)

Does it work with 5.2.1 rc2 (which is basically the final anyway)?

Oh, and maybe you should try with a sane driver if you use nvidias driver :)
