Yep, this way it will likely work. I was cherry picking from
experimental (basically apt install -t experimental libreoffice-writer), 
and the dependencies were not strong enough, so some packages 
(l10n, gstreamer, help) were not upgraded as well.

It turns out that the outdated l10n package caused the issue, with
that upgraded everything works again, so I suggest adding Breaks
or Conflicts for libreoffice-l10n-4.4 (and libreoffice-l10n-5.1?)
to ensure a smooth upgrade (maybe also 4.3 for upgrades from stable,
idk).
