Someone who installs stuff is (well, should) be clueful. They have root
on their machines and/or are root.

Or even better: just the startcenter. Add NoDisplay=true to what you
don't want? (Admin job.)

There's functions which don't work in Base when you don't have writer.
You don't have Db connectivitiy in -writer/-calc when you don't have Base.

Either one works without the other, but you might want the other for
more or "special" functionality....

Anyway, this is OT for the original proposition...
