I wasn't aware the .desktop files were stored elsewhere and only 
symlinked in /usr/share/applications, that's my bad.

It doesn't appear to by default (it was disabled in Alacarte), but 
enabling it to show does make it show up.

Except that by default the LibreOffice launcher is hidden, unless *that* 
is a bug, or an old config setting on my system.

Heh, thanks. I should probably have looked into things a little further 
myself before assuming this was a bug, but it wasn't functioning how it 
used to and there seemed to be no explanation as to why that happened, 
so naturally I assumed it was a bug.
